1. Applicable legal framework
This policy is drawn up in particular under:
- Law No. 2017-20 of 20 April 2018 on the Digital Code of the Republic of Benin (Book V — personal data and privacy), as amended, including by Law No. 2020-35 of 6 January 2021;
- ECOWAS Supplementary Act A/SA.1/01/10 on personal data protection, implemented in Benin;
- the principles of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), which we voluntarily align with for transfers and processors that may operate outside Benin (hosting, form delivery), to offer a high and readable level of protection.
The competent supervisory authority in Benin is the Autorité de Protection des Données à caractère Personnel (APDP).
2. Data controller
The controller of personal data collected via the site and related channels is:

3. Scope
This policy applies to:
- browsing jdhentretiensetservices.com;
- online forms (quote, contact, newsletter, job application);
- follow-up exchanges by email, phone or WhatsApp started from the site or our published contacts;
- files you send us (site photos, CV, attachments).
It does not govern third-party platforms (WhatsApp / Meta, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Hostinger) once you leave our site for their services.
4. Useful definitions
- Personal data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
- Processing: any operation on data (collection, storage, consultation, transmission, erasure…).
- Controller: the entity that determines purposes and means — here JDH Entretiens et Services.
- Processor: a provider that processes data on our behalf (e.g. form delivery).
- Data subject: you (prospect, client, applicant, site visitor).
5. What data do we collect?
We do not create user accounts on the site. Data depends on how you interact.
5.1. Quote form
Depending on steps and services: identity, contact details, profile (residential / corporate), company details if any, requested services, technical details, free message, site photos, processing consent.
5.2. Contact form
Identity, phone, email, optional company / address, message, preferred channel, consent.
5.3. Newsletter (if enabled)
Email and optionally first name; proof of consent to receive commercial information.
5.4. Recruitment
Identity, contacts, professional information, motivation message, CV and allowed attachments, availability.
5.5. Technical / preference data (browser)
Theme and language preferences stored locally; quote draft in sessionStorage until you finish or clear the form. These are not sent to us as a customer database.
5.6. Off-form exchanges
Content of WhatsApp, calls or emails you send us, and metadata needed for commercial follow-up.
5.7. Data we do not voluntarily collect
We do not request sensitive data under the Digital Code (racial origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, etc.) unless you volunteer them. Please only send what is strictly needed.
6. Data sources
Data mainly comes from you (forms, messages, calls).
It may also come from someone acting for you, or from social platforms if you message our official pages.
7. Purposes
We process your data to:
- answer information requests and prepare quotes;
- plan, perform and follow up cleaning services;
- contact you about your request;
- manage the commercial relationship;
- handle applications and, where relevant, a recruitment pool;
- send offer information only if you consented (newsletter);
- secure forms (anti-spam);
- meet legal obligations and defend our rights;
- improve site clarity (no behavioural advertising by default).
We do not sell or rent your personal data for advertising.
8. Legal bases
Depending on the operation, processing relies on:
- your consent (newsletter, voluntary photos, certain checkboxes) — withdrawable at any time;
- pre-contractual or contractual steps (quote, service, follow-up);
- our legitimate interest (form security, spam prevention, limited commercial records), without overriding your rights;
- a legal obligation.
9. Recipients and processors
Internal access: only authorised people at JDH Entretiens et Services, on a need-to-know basis.
Processors / technical providers:
- Hostinger SMTP (form delivery to contact@jdhentretiensetservices.com);
- Hostinger (static hosting);
- telecom / Meta (WhatsApp) when you choose those channels;
- email tools used to read and archive requests.
Authorities: where required by law or by a competent authority (including the APDP).
No commercial sale of client files to marketing partners.
10. Transfers outside Benin
The host (Hostinger) processes SMTP email on its infrastructure. Depending on its setup, processing may occur outside Benin, including in the European Economic Area.
We seek an appropriate level of protection within our contractual means and the guarantees those providers offer.
By using our forms, you are informed of this technical delivery required to receive your requests.
11. Retention periods
We keep data only as long as needed, then archive, delete or anonymise it.
Indicatively:
- quotes / contact with no follow-through: up to 24 months after the last useful exchange;
- client / completed job files: commercial relationship + legal retention (often up to 5 years or more if required);
- newsletter: until consent withdrawal or prolonged inactivity after a reminder;
- unsuccessful applications: generally max 24 months unless agreed otherwise;
- quote draft (sessionStorage): until tab/session end or successful send;
- language / theme (localStorage): until you clear browser storage.
12. Security
We apply reasonable organisational and technical measures: limited access, secured forms (honeypot, captcha, rate limits, file checks), HTTPS to the form provider, internal discretion rules.
No system is perfect; if a breach risks your rights, we will take steps required by applicable law (including notifying the APDP where required).
14. Your rights
Under Benin’s Digital Code and, where relevant, GDPR principles, you have rights including: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability (when applicable), withdrawal of consent, and lodging a complaint with the APDP.
To exercise your rights: contact@jdhentretiensetservices.com — state your identity and request. We may ask for ID if reasonably needed. We reply as soon as possible and within the legal deadline.
15. Complaint to the APDP
If you believe your rights are not respected, you may contact the Autorité de Protection des Données à caractère Personnel (APDP) — Republic of Benin (e.g. service.apdp.bj or the authority’s office in Cotonou), ideally after contacting us first at contact@jdhentretiensetservices.com.
16. Minors
Our services are primarily for adults. If you are under 18, use forms only with a parent or legal guardian’s agreement. Unauthorised data from a minor will be deleted promptly once we are aware.
17. Photos and documents you send
Photos via the quote form are only used to estimate and prepare the job. They are not published without your express agreement. Avoid images of identifiable third parties or ID documents.
18. Social networks
Our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages follow each platform’s rules. Private messages to us are treated as contact requests. Links may cause those platforms to set cookies when you visit them.
19. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions producing legal effects solely by automated processing, including profiling. Quotes and jobs are reviewed by a human.
20. Formalities with the APDP
As a controller established in Benin, JDH Entretiens et Services undertakes to comply with applicable prior formalities (declaration / authorisation / register as required) with the APDP. This information policy does not replace those administrative duties where required.
21. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy for legal, technical or organisational changes. The “last updated” date above prevails. Please check this page regularly.
